A Garden For All
The San Antonio Botanical Garden is committed to ensuring that everyone can experience the beauty of nature. From paved pathways and accessible facilities to programs that remove financial and transportation barriers, we strive to make the Garden welcoming for all.
The Garden’s Nature Navigator program helps remove barriers of entry to the Garden by providing free shuttle transportation, free admission, and free programming for community groups across Bexar County and surrounding areas. Groups can choose one of our educational programs including a self-guided garden visit, guided garden tour, planting, art, or cooking activity, or a class from our public program schedule.
Groups may choose to either drive themselves or request a ride on our Nature Navigator shuttle, which includes a wheelchair lift and space for up to 24 passengers or 20 including 2 wheelchair users. Pick-up and drop-off for groups are from one central location.

Field Trip Scholarships
Every student deserves the opportunity to attend Garden programming; scholarships are available to cover both program fees and bus reimbursement.
Most Garden visits last 2–4 hours. To keep things relaxed and enjoyable, we recommend planning for 3–5 hours total, including transportation time.
Outside food and drinks aren’t typically encouraged, but we make accommodations for community access groups who schedule visits through the Nature Navigator program. Just let us know ahead of time.
Guests may also purchase grab-and-go food and beverages from our gift shop or coffee shop.
Once your visit is confirmed, we recommend checking out our Garden Map to get familiar with the grounds.
