Green Wood Milling: Urban Timber Reclamation

We’ll cover how we select and retrieve urban trees, demonstrate the milling techniques live, and how this impacts both the value and character of the final timber. Whether you’re curious about urban sustainability or just want to see how a city tree becomes a piece of furniture, this class will give you a fresh perspective on urban lumber as well as a live demo on milling an urban tree.

This class will be held outdoors so please wear close-toed shoes, dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Ear and eye protection will be provided for the milling demo.
