Beginning Hand Spindling

Christina Palafox will provide a brief history of spinning, a hands-on demonstration, and assistance in learning to spin using hand-held spindles. Each participant will draft wool by hand, attach it to a spindle, and spin wool into a single yarn using traditional spindling techniques. Participants will take home the yarn they spin as well as resources for continuing hand spindling.
