UNESCO City of Gastronomy Guest Chef Series: Lizzeth Martinez

The San Antonio Botanical Garden Guest Chef Series is thrilled to partner with the SA City of Gastronomy Chef Ambassadors. From March 18 to April 11, all six Chef Ambassadors will take over our Outdoor Teaching Kitchen for live cooking demonstrations, sharing their stories and showcasing how they contribute to and preserve the rich culinary culture and legacy of San Antonio.

About the Guest Chef

Born and raised on both side of the border in South Texas, Chef Lizzeth Martinez journey as a chef started at her grandparent’s ranch in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Her connections with lived experiences and cultural traditions have shaped culinary identity rooted in heritage and local ingredients. She is the chef and owner of Naco Mexican Eatery and has won many local awards, and has been featured on Netflix’s Taco Chronicles and Food Network’s Carnival Eats.
