The TREES initiative (Texas Recovery for Ecological and Environmental Stability) is a five-year project led by SABG to restore 50,000 native trees along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County after the 2025 flood.
Since launching in August 2025, SABG and its partners have collected over 300 native seeds—enough to grow the 50,000 trees needed for restoration. Many are already growing at the Garden and partner nurseries, preparing for planting across the Hill Country.
